Crenshaw Christian crushes Coosa Valley, 39-0

Crenshaw Christian Academy picked up a decisive 39-0 victory over Coosa Valley Academy on Friday night at Don Greene Stadium.
Cougars quarterback Brayden Moore went 8-of-15 for 141 yards and a touchdown through the air while also rushing for 59 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. He added a 37-yard field goal on special teams and four tackles, a fumble recovery, and an interception on defense.
Crenshaw Christian running back Drake Mills led the team in rushing with 75 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. He notched five tackles defensively, and returned a blocked punt 48 yards for a touchdown.
Cougars tight end Ashton Acreman finished his night with three catches for 76 yards, while wide receiver Jake Bodry caught three passes for 50 yards.
Defensive end Coleman Owens registered eight tackles for the Cougars, and defensive lineman Walden Mitchell chipped in seven tackles.
Crenshaw Christian engineered a balanced offensive attack with 188 total rushing yards and 141 passing yards.
The Cougars (5-2, 2-0) will travel to Greensboro to face Class A, Region 1 opponent Southern Academy (2-4, 1-1) on Friday night.
