The Chicken Shack was recently voted a finalist in the Alabama Farmers Federation’s Bama’s Best Chicken Tenders contest.

During the semi-final round of voting, eight Alabama chicken restaurants, labeled the Edible Eight, were in the running for a spot in the Flavorful Four.

The vote for contest finalists was held from Monday, June 14 through Monday, June 21 through the Simply Southern TV’s Facebook page.

To place their vote, voters were required to visit the page and go to Bama’s Best Chicken Tenders photo album and like the image that corresponded with the restaurant they wanted to vote for.

In addition to The Chicken Shack, Crowe’s Chicken in Brundidge, Bobby’s Restaurant in Eva and  J’s Hole in the Wall in Bryant, Alabama all made it through to the end.

Judges will soon visit each of the restaurants and taste-test their best chicken tender meal to determine the overall winner.

While each of the four finalists will receive a plaque, the winner will receive an additional plaque, prize money, and features in the Alabama Farmers Federation’s Neighbors magazine and on Simply Southern TV.

Bama’s Best Chicken Tenders contest is sponsored by the Federation’s Poultry Division whose members raise healthy, lean protein.
