Family asking for return of guitar

A Brantley family is begging for any help in locating a very special guitar that was stolen from an area church.

Jane Rayburn says that her husband’s guitar was taken from Calvary Baptist Church in Brantley, Alabama sometime last week.

“It is nothing special, but it sure means a lot to us. I got it for him back in 1975 or 76. I was working in the sewing factory and made payments on it to Dyess in Opp so that I could give it to him for Christmas,” said Rayburn

The guitar is a 1975 Alverez 5024 Gibson Dove ornamented.

If anyone has any information, please, contact the Crenshaw County Sheriff Department. The family is offering a substantial reward for the return of the guitar. The guitar can be returned to the church or dropped off at any of the local police stations, no questions asked.
