Rosa Parks display comes to Luverne
Beginning this Friday, January 28 through Friday, February 11, the Luverne Public Library will host a display from the Troy University Rosa Parks Museum.
The display is titled “The Women of the Montgomery Bus Boycott”. Everyone is familiar with Mrs. Rosa Parks, but few realize that several other women were instrumental in forming the boycott that began the civil rights movement.
“I think this display will be very interesting and educational,” Kathryn Tomlin, library director said.
