Letter to the editor
My opinion,
I am 67 years old. I have lived in Crenshaw County all my life.
I will start with the schools. My granddaughter is in the third grade. She showed me her math and tried to tell me how she had to do it. She said she had to do dots. Like 3×3=9. She can’t do it like we did. All we did was 3×3=9. She has to dots somehow. I don’t understand it. She is not making good grades. She was good at math, but not now.
I don’t know who made the kids in third grade do math like this. The kids have been out so much, they need simple math for all the ages of kids in the first through third grades.
About the vote. Too make sure that the dead can’t vote, the funeral homes need to send a copy of the death certificate to the voter registration office. That way there is no way anyone can register that person.
Also, when someone asks for an absentee voting form, they need to put on some kind of I.D. like everyone else. We use our driver’s license. Most people have some form of I.D.
There is a lot more I can write, but this is a good start.
