Pumpkins at the Well coming Oct. 23
By Haley Mitchell Godwin
The town of Glenwood and The Flowing Well, Inc, are excited to announce the first Pumpkins at the Well Festival. The event will take place on Saturday Oct. 23 beginning at 10 a.m. The event promises to be loads of fun for all little ghosts and goblins, big and small, in the community.
There will be activities for all ages. The first ever “Glenwood Games” will take place throughout the day. Contests will include coloring, baking, pumpkin carving, costume, pie eating, hula hoop, and horseshoes. There will also be a potato sack race and corn hole tournament.
Each contest is $5 per person to enter and you may enter as many contests as you would like. You may register in advance or sign up on the day of the games. Winners will receive prizes.
Prize donations from local businesses are still being accepted.
Kids activities will include a bounce house, kiddie rides, face painting, a petting zoo (with a camel), pony rides, hay rides and more.
There will also be a photo booth and college football will be shown on a projector screen.
Vendors of all kinds will be set up at the event. Vendor spacing is still available at $25 a spot and can be reserved by contacting Kassi Faulk or The Festival at the Well via Facebook.
Cost of entry is $5 per person. Updates and more information can be found on The Festival at the Well Facebook page.
All money raised will go to help fund college scholarships for kids in the Glenwood community.
