Allen Lily Chapter donates after-school supplies

By Staff Reports

The Allen Lily Chapter #700 Order of Eastern Star of Luverne recently donated school supplies to the 21st Century After School Program where LaFreda Griffin, with the Crenshaw County Board of Education, is director of the program. This marks the second year the Chapter has specifically contributed to the After School Program. The Chapter’s commitment to supporting education extends beyond the After School Program and school supplies; they also provide snacks and other necessities to ensure students have what they need to succeed. Yvonne Noble, Worthy Matron of the Allen Lily Chapter #700, emphasized the importance of these contributions.

“Donating school supplies is just one of our community service projects,” Noble said. “We are glad to help students succeed in their endeavors and reach their scholastic goals each school year.”

Present were Felicia Darby and Martha Thomas, 21st Century After School Program Site Coordinator at the Luverne School location Regina Thomas and Worthy Matron of the Allen Lily Chapter Yvonne Noble. Allen Lily members not pictured are Betty Dawson, Lily Jones, Rhonda Bryant, Amanda Jones, Debra Butler, Laura Johnson, Linda Sims and Linda Eubanks Jones.
