Residents from across Crenshaw County and surrounding areas turned out and braved the heat to enjoy the inaugural Stars and Stripes Over the Lu. With a petting zoo, inflatables, live music, food trucks and shopping, all ages found something to do in the area’s friendliest city. Organized by Lisa Michele Oliver and Mike Flint of Flint’s Smokehouse, the Fourth of July celebration also featured tents to meet political candidates and learn more about supporting organizations like Animal Tails Rescue and Toys for Tots.
