Frances Tanner Raybon, lovingly known as Mamaw, passed away on June 10 after a sudden decline in her health at the age of 97. She lived a long and fulfilling life.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, June 18, beginning at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Honoraville with Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Please wear her favorite color, pink, to honor her beautiful memory. It will be a glorious day of celebration.

Frances was born on Oct. 27, 1927 in Crenshaw County. She grew up in the Honoraville area and lived in Montgomery most of her life. The final years of her life were spent in Rome, Georgia.

Frances is preceded in death by her father and mother, Lawrence and Bernice Tanner; her brothers, Lawrence Tanner Jr., Gene Tanner and Bobby Tanner; her husband, David Keith Raybon and her son, Danny Keith Raybon.

She is survived by her son Wayne Raybon and his wife, Sharon. She leaves behind her grandchildren: Shannon (Kyle) Diamond, Carmen (Phil)) Gray and Shane Raybon; her great grandchildren, Miranda (Justin) Riley, Morgan (Taylor) Meadows, Taylor (Haley) Gray, Tanner (Reagan) Diamond, Madison (Ryan) Sparks and Weston Diamond; and five great, great grandchildren: Gracyn, Tucker, Mila, Maeve and Madelyn.

Frances will be remembered for her loving nature, her playfulness and her occasional, endearing stubbornness. She cherished her family. There is nothing she missed more in her final years than her family and her home. She was a faithful Christian who was a devoted member of Snowdoun Baptist Church. In her later years, Frances was a beloved member of the Brookdale Assisted Living in Rome. She was a favorite among both the staff and the residents. Her antics and gift of making others laugh endeared her to everyone. She had a special way of making everyone feel comfortable, welcome and most importantly, loved. She was one of a kind. She will be missed dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we shared with her.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Diamond, Tanner Diamond, Weston Diamond, Taylor Meadows, Phil Gray, Taylor Gray and Ryan Sparks.
