Responder Breakfast

A first responder breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 at First Baptist Church, Luverne. The free event is open to all first responders and their families. Breakfast begins at 9 a.m.

Shape Singing

The Annual Program of the South Alabama Seven Shape Singing Convention is set for May 3, 3 p.m. at the Convention Center – 11339 Luverne and Greenville Highway, Greenville. The theme is Psalm 127:1. Each class is asked for a liberal donation of $25.

Historical Meeting

The Crenshaw County Historical Society will be meeting Sunday, May 4, at 2 p.m. at the Luverne Public Library. The speaker will be Marcus Cloud. Everyone is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served. 

Craft Day

The Luverne Public Library will host Craft Day Monday, May 5 at 4 p.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Monday and Thursday evening at First Baptist Church in Luverne. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall. 

Mommie and Me

The Luverne Public Library hosts a program for moms and young children each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The next meeting will be this Tuesday.

Cloverbuds Meeting

The Luverne Public Library will host Cloverbuds Monday, May 12 at 1 p.m.

Luverne Council

The Luverne City Council meets the second and fourth Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. The next meeting is set for May 12 at 5:30 p.m.

Mobile Screening

The Crenshaw County Health Department offers mobile mammography screening the second Tuesday each month. The next session is on May 13. Call (334) 747-4769 or visit the health department at 15 Hospital Drive in Luverne to schedule an appointment.

4-H Meeting

The Luverne Public Library will host 4-H Thursday, May 15 at 4 p.m.

Movie Day

The Luverne Public Library will host Movie Day Monday, May 19 at 4 p.m.

Kiwanis Club

The Luverne Kiwanis Club hosts meets on the first and third of each month. The club’s next meeting will be May 20 at 12 p.m. in the Chicken Shack private dining room.

LEGO Club

The Luverne Public Library will host LEGO Thursday, May 22 at 4 p.m.

Mulberry School

The Mulberry Community requests your presence at the Old Mulberry School House located at 2225 Ridgeway Road in Brantley, May 24 at 1 p.m. for the dedication of a historical marker.
