Rex Lumber in Troy sponsored the “Get the Job” resume competition for Crenshaw County School seniors recently. Each senior submitted a mock job application to Rex Lumber and the top two applicants from each school were selected for an interview based on the completeness of their application, as reviewed by Rex Lumber’s HR department.
Mock job interviews were then conducted by Rex Lumber’s Safety Manage and Crenshaw County Schools alumnus Michael Walker to determine the winner.
“Congratulations to our outstanding winners,” said career coach Haley Kilcrease.
The first-place winner received a $100 gift card from Rex Lumber, and the runner-up received a $50 gift card. The winners are:
* Highland Home High School: Ashlan Thomson and Nathan Carroll;
* Luverne High School: Jayden Braxton and Dakyndra Harris; and
* Brantley High School: Jon Harper Kilcrease and Emma Crawley.
“We are so thankful for area business pouring in to our students with advice, tips, and amazing opportunities,” Kilcrease said.
