Lineworker Appreciation Day recognizes dedication, bravery

Lineworker Appreciation Day is observed each year on April 18 to honor the dedication, skill and bravery of lineworkers. These men and women play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable electricity to customers and communities across the state of Alabama.

Lineworkers are on the front lines working tirelessly, often in challenging conditions, to build, maintain and repair the electrical power systems that light our homes, power our businesses and keep critical infrastructure running. Their commitment to safety and excellence keeps us connected and powers our daily lives, often going unnoticed until a storm or emergency highlights the essential nature of their work.
