Crenshaw County 4-H awarded at horse show

Crenshaw County 4-H members competed in the Southeast Regional Horse Show at Landmark Park in Dothan on March 22. The event was organized by Alabama Extension 4-H agents across the southeast for 4-Hers ages 9 – 18 to encourage their work with horses, practice of horsemanship skills, horse judging, care and basic management.
Anna Kate Foster and Georgia-Lynn Lowe competed against other contestants in different counties, including Geneva, Bullock, Pike, Houston, Barbour, Covington, Coffee, Dale and Henry counties. Participants were judged in categories of Western, Ranch, English, Gaited and Speed
Foster earned Champion – first place overall – in both Ranch and Gaited classes with her horses Redman and Devine Magic. Lowe received Reserve Campion – second place overall – in the Gaited class with her horse A Major Occasion.
