Community members joined the Crenshaw County Chamber of Commerce Friday, March 21 to celebrate two Luverne businesses serving Crenshaw County.

S & S Accounting Services, owned by local Luverne native Sharron Shirley, officially opened in January, 2024. Shirley has been doing accounting and tax returns for many local and some not so local clients for over 20 years before opening her own business in 2024. She now provides full-charge bookkeeping services, payroll services, year-end 1099 and W2 processing as well as sales tax processing. She also offers more than 20 years of experience in both individual and business tax return preparation.

Her doors are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment for late evenings and weekends.

New clients are welcomed with open arms and returning clients have been a blessing that Shirley said is very much appreciated. Call her at (334) 313-5622 and book your appointment now.

The joint celebration also featured The Isaak Law Firm, which recently opened its new Luverne location.

“While the firm has represented clients in Crenshaw County for well over a decade, we are eager to open our new location for the convenience of our current and future clients,” said the firm’s founder, Melissa L. Isaak.

Isaak started the firm with the hopes of changing the landscape of family law litigation. As a former foster child and U.S. Army Veteran, she has had first-hand experience with a system that she said is broken.

Upon founding the firm, Isaak said she sought to protect litigants from lawyers and their opportunistic clients who seek to profit from a broken legal system, and from judges who fail to protect the rights of their constituents. The Isaak Law Firm works to raise the bar for how attorneys should be.

“The Isaak Law Firm is different,” Isaak said. “This firm not only zealously advocates for their clients, but they also never lose sight of the interests of the entire family as a whole. The firm has provided housing for the homeless, life coaching for those needing social and emotional support, recreational activities for fathers and their children, biblical self-help books for men with the desire to live a Godly life, and so much more.

“From the smallest family law matter to the largest profile cases, the Isaak Law Firm believes that everyone is entitled to justice in the courtroom. Our firm successfully defended Former Chief Justice Roy Moore in one of the most high-profile defamation cases in the country.”

More recently, Isaak secured the very first acquittal from a Washington D.C. jury for a client facing unfair political prosecution for exercising his first amendment right on Jan. 6, 2021.

“Unlike many firms that are simply passed down through generations, the Isaak Law Firm is founded upon a mission that has not wavered since its founding,” Isaak said. “Everyone is entitled to a fair hearing and the Isaak Law Firm takes this responsibility seriously in every case.”

“As the only Veteran-owned law firm in Crenshaw County, the Isaak Law Firm demonstrates that same dedication, discipline and service-oriented values in every case. From family law cases to defamation of character, to high profile criminal cases and appellate work, the Isaak Law Firm has a proven track record of success.”
