On Tuesday, Feb. 18 the Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Children’s Trust Fund awarded several Alabama districts a check for their fatherhood and motherhood programs. Timothy Kemp, fatherhood director, accepted the check for the Organized Community Action Program’s (OCAP) Fatherhood and Motherhood initiative.

“The program promotes healthy relationships between fathers/mothers and their children by educating, supporting and empowering men/women to be responsible parents,” Kemp said. “Participants will be referred to the program through the child support court system and the Department of Human Resources in Butler, Bullock, Crenshaw and Pike counties.”
