Board grants parole to Jarnell Oshun Williams

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles granted the parole petition recently from an inmate serving time for a credit card fraud conviction in Crenshaw County.

On Feb. 6, the board voted to grant parole toJarnell Oshun Williams, 28. He is the Frank Lee Work Release Center, serving five years for fraudulent use/representation of a credit card, a conviction handed down Sept. 10, 2024.

The conviction was Williams’ first offense. At the time of the parole board’s decision, Williams had served eight months and 20 days of the five-year sentence.

As a condition of parole, the board voted that Williams must complete the Perry County Probation/Parole Reentry Education Program (PREP) and wear a GPS ankle monitor.

On that day, the board heard 20 parole petitions, granting four and denying 16. The board also held 10 pardon hearings, granting four and denying six.
