Angel, a lively Jack Russell Terrier owned by William and Jami Dobbs of Luverne, has been named the 2025 Luverne Veterinary Hospital Winter Weather Pet of the Season, securing an impressive 76% of the nearly 300 votes cast.
Angel’s enthusiastic fans helped secure her commanding lead, and her victory earned her and the Dobbs family a personalized prize package from Luverne Veterinary Hospital valued at $250. The prize package included a six-month supply of NexGard flea prevention treatment along with a selection of goodies designed to keep Angel happy and healthy.
This seasonal triumph sets the stage for Angel’s next big challenge: the 2025 Luverne Veterinary Hospital Pet of the Year contest, where she will go head-to-head with three other quarterly winners for the coveted title.
Angel is no stranger to happy companionship, sharing her home with two canine siblings, Bama and Yukon, a feline brother named Smoke, and an array of other animals that can be found on the Dobbs’ homeplace, including five horses, ten rabbits, chickens, a turtle and a Macaw.
The recent winter weather brought Angel her first taste of snow, and she made the most of it. Whenever she wasn’t out joyfully playing in the wintry wonderland, she could be found scratching at the door, eager to head back out for more.
