The Tigers’ next contest is on the road against local rival, the Brantley Bulldogs.

In Bulldog Country, Brantley posted wins, 61-25 on the road against the Goshen Eagles and at home, 75-17 over Booker T. Washington of Montgomery.

On the year, the Dogs are led by senior guard Jayden Parks, who is averaging 20 points a game at 64% in field goals attempted and forward Daylan Davis, pulling down 11 rebounds per game. Parks is averaging four assists per game with six steals per game.

Highland Home’s Flying Squadron tipped off their 2024-25 roundball season in hopes of capturing a basketball title and improving on their 2024-24 semi-run-up in 2A basketball. The Flyboys sustained two losses this week — one to Charles Henderson, 61-36 and one to McKenzie, 45-38.

The Squadron travels to Pike County to meet the Goshen Eagles on Thursday. Tip off is set for 7:30 p.m.
