At approximately 2 p.m. there was a shooting in the area of Maple Street in Brantley. We have received confirmation that one subject is currently in custody and one victim is en route to the hospital.

According to Brantley Police Department (BPD) investigator Lee Simmons, the area and surrounding neighborhoods are all secure.

“We had one gunshot victim,” said BPD Assistat Chief Drew Morgan. “This was the result of a domestic dispute between a girlfriend and boyfriend and one of the parties is a minor.”
