From cuddly Labrador Retrievers to playful Chorkies, and gentle German Shepherds to sassy calico cats, these furry contenders have captured the affection of readers from our community and beyond.

Now, readers can cast their votes online and decide which pet will claim the coveted title of “2024 Crenshaw Animal Clinic Super Spring Pet of the Season.” The winner will receive a personalized prize package valued at $250.00, curated with a variety of pet-related goodies.

But the thrill doesn’t end there! Annually, the community selects a “Pet of the Year” where the stakes are higher and the grand prize is nothing short of stellar. Meet the charismatic contestants:

Cash – A lab that is the “bestest boy” according to his owners. 

Dr. Pepper – The Chorkie that is training to be a service dog. 

Judo – With a keen sense of awareness, Judo the miniature Schnauzer serves as her home’s alarm system.

Max and Blue – Two Labrador Retrievers who both love scrambled eggs and their owners. 

Camo – The calico cat named because of her uncanny ability to blend in with a leopard print comforter.

Marley Mae – The terrier whose favorite pastime is taking a bath. 

Bo – The epitome of love and affection, Bo the Lhasa Apso loves to show his family affection. 

Lady – A German Shepherd and bulldog mix whose devotion to her human family knows no bounds. 

Drax – The German Shepherd who thrives despite a head injury received when he was a pup.

Willow – A silver Labrador Retriever who naps better than Rip Van Winkle and enjoys aggravating her canine and feline siblings. 

T bone – The Black Mouth Cur and Mastiff mix that was dropped off to fend for himself but is living the good life now.

Noel – An indoor feline whose favorite hobby is bird watching. 

St. Francis-The cat named after the patron saint of animals who delights in naps, head rubs and eating.
