Highland Home High School presented the Miss HHS pageant, “In My Pageant Era”, on Saturday, March 16 with seven beautiful young ladies competing for the title of Miss HHS 2024.
Regan Burrage was crowned as Miss HHS 2024 by the reigning Miss HHS 2023, Nolleigh Reaves.
The pageant started with the contestants and Reeves dancing to a compilation of Taylor Swift songs.
Each year faculty, staff, and students entertain the crowd. The night started off with skits from “Saturday Night Live” and the Super Bowl Halftime. The student body performed many other acts such as dances to “Paper Rings” and “Shake It Off” and other skits about the VMAs and Bachelors Reunited. Our favorite ladies were back – “The Golden Girls featuring Madea” in a Family Feud showdown.
The contestants showcased their beauty and elegance modeling their formal gowns to a medley of songs. During the casual portion of the pageant, the contestants showcased their personality and outfit of choice to “Me” by Taylor Swift; and each contestant answered an onstage question. To finish the night, the contestants showed how physically fit they were, performing a fitness routine to “The Man” by Taylor Swift.
The evening culminated with Burrage being crowned as Miss HHS 2024. Other awards are as follows: 1st Runner-Up Sophia Boyd, 2nd Runner-Up Ally McElwain, 3rd Runner Up Madeline Jane Crowe, Photogenic Winner Ally McElwain and Miss Congeniality Madeline Jane Crowe.
Highland Home High School wants to thank all of the faculty and staff who take pride in hosting and participating in this annual event. As well as the students and parents who love their school and community enough to participate and help put on a great show.
