First Luverne Baptist Church partners with the Luverne Police Department to host a First Responder Breakfast once a month. On Saturday, March 9, around 20 first responders and their family members enjoyed music by First Luverne member and volunteer Dwight Senn and encouragement from pastor Clay Crum.
The breakfast includes a meal furnished by church volunteers with an encouraging message and prayer with guests who attend. All first responders and their families — law enforcement, firefighters, dispatch/E-911, EMTs (emergency medical technicians) — from Crenshaw and surrounding counties are invited to attend. The next breakfast is slated for April 27 beginning at 9 a.m.
