Fighting with God

Have you ever tried to pick a fight with God? You can try all you want, but at the end of the day, God is going to prevail.

Sometimes we think we know better than God or we have other plans, but these plans only cause conflict in our spiritual walk. We try to outdo God or do things the easy way, which only leaves us suffering when we don’t do it right the first time. We try to tell God when, where, and how we are going to live our lives, but we eventually realize that God will have His way.

God has big plans and wants to have a relationship with us, but we are often too preoccupied with our own desires. Like anything else, if we depend on ourselves, we only make the situation worse. Trust in God with everything you have.

Trust Him on good days. Trust Him on bad days. Trust Him with what you have and trust him with what you don’t have.

If you do decide to pick a fight with God, be prepared for a long, hard battle. Just know that in the end, God will prevail, but so will you! Lord, help me to follow you daily and the calling you have for my life and not of my own desires.

Amen
