The 2024 Crenshaw County Schools District Spelling Bee was held Feb. 12 at the central office in Luverne. Third place winner was Brantley student Ivy McMillian. Coming in second was Addie Grace Taylor of Highland Home School and Luverne student Andrew Cornelius was the winner. Cornelius spelled the word “legacy’’ correctly for the win and will represent Crenshaw County at the state competition to be held March 16 at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
