Crenshaw County Cattlemen’s annual meeting

The Crenshaw County Cattlemen’s Association will hold their annual meeting Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Tom Harbin Ag Center. All association members and those who wish to join are encouraged to attend. For more information call Ray Hilburn at 334-320-5478.

 

Blood Drive

First Citizens Bank in Luverne will host a LifeSouth blood drive on Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

 

Library Closed

The Luverne Public Library will be closed Feb. 19 for President’s Day.

 

Mommy and Me

The Luverne Public Library hosts a program for moms and young children each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The next meeting will be this Tuesday.

 

Family Nutrition Series

SNAP-Ed Educator Kristin Sanders will present information on nutrition topics such as, grocery shopping tips, healthy food swaps, understanding food labels, and healthy living information, on Feb. 20 at 4 p.m. at the Luverne Public Library. Participants will also prepare and sample a Live Well Alabama recipe. Must pre-register by calling the Luverne Public Library at 334-335-5326.

Swamp Supper

The 29th annual Swamp Supper, featuring guest speaker Lamar Gibson, is set for Feb. 24, rain or shine, at the Tom Harbin farm center. Anyone is welcome to set up, cook and share. Miss LHS Pageant

Luverne School will present the 64th Annual Miss LHS Pageant, “Welcome to Paradise”, on Saturday, February 23rd at 6:30 p.m. in the Luverne High School Auditorium. Tickets are $10.00 each and the doors open at 6 p.m.

 

Movie Day

The Luverne Public Library will host Movie Day on Feb. 26  at 4 p.m.

The Crenshaw County Retired Teachers will meet in the conference room at the Luverne Public Library on Feb.28 at 10:30 a.m. 

 

Applicator Training

Pesticide training for agricultural producers needing to renew or apply for a private applicator license will be held Feb. 29 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Tom Harbin Ag Center. Please call the Crenshaw County Extension office at 334-335-6312 for more information and to register.

The Luverne Public Library will host its annual visit with the Easter Bunning Saturday, March 9 from 9-11 a.m.

 

AIDT Leadership Class

The Crenshaw County Economic Development Authority (CCEDA), in conjunction with Southeast Alabama Works, will host the first of three leadership classes that will be taught by Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) March 13-14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the CCEDA. The Luverne Public Library will host a Craft Day on March 18 at 4 p.m.

 

Luverne Public Library Dinner Theater

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. at which time a silent auction will begin. Dinner service will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. followed by the performance at 7 p.m.. Tickets are $25 per person or $175 for a table of eight. Tickets may be purchased at the Luverne Public Library.
