Obituary-Jerry Mack Peak

Jerry Mack Peak, 74, a resident of Luverne, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, Nov. 12. Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 17 at South Luverne Baptist Church with Rev. Michael King and Rev. Justin Jacobs officiating and Brandon Howard offering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. 

Jerry proudly served his country with the United States Marines Reserves for several years. He also earned his Bachelor’s of Science in History Education and Physical Education, and loved every single one of his 27 years teaching and coaching in area high schools. Jerry was also an active member of his church family at South Luverne Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon. 

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Hilliard & Mary Mobley Peak, and father-in-law, Jesse Rogers. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joanne Rogers Peak; their sons, Michael (Tami) Peak and Jeremy Peak; grandchildren, Jennasis Peak, Joseph Peak, AJ Peak, Brandon (Lindsay) Howard and Riley Skipper; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Howard and Henry Howard; brothers, Ellis (Thresia) Peak and Sam (Rita) Peak; and mother-in-law, Doris Rogers.
