Webinar

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System holds a horticulture webinar every Wednesday at 1 p.m. Following each webinar, participants can get answers to gardening questions. Register to get reminders and the Zoom link for these free webinars at https://www.aces.edu/go/asywebinars.

 

Christmas Shoeboxes

First Luverne Baptist Church is serving again this year as an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection site. Gift filled boxes may be dropped off Nov 17-18 from 10 a.m. – Noon; Nov 14, 16 from 3p.m. – 6 p.m.; Nov 19 from 1-5 p.m.; and Nov 20 from 8-10 a.m.

 

Fall Festival 

The annual Homemakers’ Fall Festival at Spring Creek Baptist Church will be held Nov. 18 from 8 – 10 a.m. at the Spring Creek Fire Department on Steiner Store Road in Honoraville. There will be a bake sale and white elephant items available for purchase with proceeds going to the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

First Responders

All first responders – police, fire and rescue, emergency medical personnel and dispatchers- are invited to enjoy breakfast and a word of encouragement at First Baptist Church Luverne on Nov. 19 at 9 a.m.

Food Pantry

The Alabama-Crenshaw Baptist Association will host its monthly food pantry at First Baptist Church in Luverne on Nov. 19 at 10 a.m.

Craft Day

The Luverne Public Library will host a craft day on Nov. 20 at 4 p.m. 

 

Mommy and Me

The Luverne Public Library hosts a program for moms and young children each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The next meeting will be this Tuesday.

 

ForestHER Webinar

Movie Day

The Luverne Public Library will host movie day on Nov. 27 at 4 p.m.

 

Annual Holiday Fair 

The Crenshaw County Extension Agency will host this annual event on Nov. 28 at the Tom Harbin Ag Center from 4-7 p.m. If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact the Crenshaw County Extension Office at 334-335-6312.

 

LEGO Club

The Luverne Public Library will host EGO Club on Nov. 30 at 4 p.m. 

 

Fun Run 

A fun run in honor of Lisa Kelley Garsee who is battling breast cancer for the second time will be held Dec. 2 starting at 9 a.m. on Airport Road. Check in will begin at 8 a.m. All proceeds will support Lisa in her battle against breast cancer. Search Facebook for the event titled ‘Fun Run for Lisa Garsee’ to find the registration link.

The Luverne Public Library will host a craft day on Dec. 4 from 3-6 p.m.
