Pastor of Camp Ground / Rutledge Methodist Church

I absolutely love being a pastor. I love everything about it. I get to walk with families in some incredible moments, from weddings to celebrating the birth of a child, even walking with them in the sadness of life, from the loss of a loved one to the loss of a job and other occasions.

The good outweighs all the bad and hardships I may encounter. I get to make an impact in the lives of people and our community by supporting them and sharing the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Growing up, I never thought that I would be called to be a pastor in Christ’s Holy Church. Outside of my wife and children, the greatest gift I have received is being a pastor.

God has given each of us a calling. The most important thing we can do is embrace that call whatever it is and find our purpose in life.

There is an old saying, “If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.” That is a fact! I can’t wait to wake up each day to see what God has in store for me as the pastor of Camp Ground and Rutledge Methodist Church, from teaching Bible studies to preaching the word or presiding over the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.

It’s more than I could have ever imagined, and I’m so grateful and blessed to be a part of something that is bigger than life itself! Thank you, Lord, for calling and blessing me to tend and feed your lambs! No matter what God has called you to do, if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.
