“Woof! Woof! I am a six-year-old Morkie named Gracie. My mom, Celes Hand, of Luverne, says that everybody needs a little grace. I love relaxing in the sun and taking naps, especially in someone’s lap. Grandma’s green beans are my favorite snack, and the chicken she cooks for me is pretty yummy, too. My Pop Pop spoils me, and I love going to the farm with him. I am happiest when my whole pack is together, and I am the center of attention. I love playing with my toys and making up my own games. My favorite game is when I hide one of my toys under a bath mat or a rug or in mom’s shoes. My humans get so excited when they find one of the surprises I hid for them. I get really excited, too. My favorite toy is my big ball. Sometimes, I throw it in the air or spin it against a wall over, and over. I love to play kickball. I will roll the ball to Mom, and I don’t take my eyes off the ball until she kicks it back to me.”

Gracie’s mom said it was love at first sight when she saw the pup. Gracie was the only girl out of her litter.

The family that owned Gracie’s parents planned to keep her, so when they decided to let Gracie become part of the Hand family, her new mom was ecstatic.

Gracie is an only fur-child and is very protective of her mama. She will not allow anyone to touch her.

Gracie has her own bed for naps, but around 8:30 each night, she finds her way to her mom’s bedside, awaiting snuggle time.

Gracie is potty trained to ring a bell or stand by the door when she needs to go out.

She is a happy and loving dog who, according to her mom, smiles at the people she loves.
