“I am a seven-year-old, hound mix. I belong to Darra and Sayge Snell of Highland Home, but Sayge is my mommy! Right after my mom graduated from Highland Home High School, she came to the Montgomery Humane Society and adopted me, and boy am I glad she did! My favorite treats are the chicken feet that my mom gives me often. My favorite thing to do is to be lazy. I love sleeping on the couch and snuggling.”

Snell rescued Copper when he was only eight weeks old. As soon as she saw his eyes, she knew she could not leave the humane society without the pup. The Fox and the Hound was one of Snell’s favorite childhood movies, and since her new dog was part hound, she decided to name him Copper after one of the dogs in the movie. Snell said that Copper quickly became her best friend and is one of the best dogs her family has ever had.
