Dr. Paul Howard, ENT, joins Troy Ear, Nose and Throat

Troy Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce Dr. Paul Howard, ENT, recently joined Troy Ear, Nose and Throat. Dr. Howard diagnoses and treats hearing and balance disorders, pediatric ENT issues, nose and sinus problems, sleep apnea, skin cancers and salivary gland disorders.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Howard has more than 35 years of experience as an ear, nose and throat physician.
“I like that I see patients of all ages and that ENT care is both surgical and medical where I follow patients for years and help them manage their problems,” Howard said. “I love working, and I love my work. I’m excited to join the Troy Ear, Nose and Throat practice. I also look forward to working with Trina Thompson, Board Certified Audiologist and the other members of the Troy Ear, Nose and Throat staff. Troy is a thriving community that I look forward to learning more about and becoming an active part of.”
Rick Smith, Troy Regional Medical Center Chief Executive Officer, is excited to welcome Dr. Howard to the medial staff. “Dr. McRae has been serving the Troy community for almost 20 years and leaves the practice in very capable hands. With over 35 years of experience, Dr. Howard offers a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the patients in our area,” Smith said.
Dr. Howard is a third-generation physician following in the footsteps of both his father and grandfather. “My father was a pediatrician and worked through 15 years of surgeries and cancer treatments, retiring only one year before his death. My grandfather was an ear, nose and throat specialist in Texas who worked into his 80s. They both showed me the value of hard work and the importance of listening to their patients.”
Howard received his undergraduate degree at Texas State University and attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
