Phillips arrested on outstanding warrants

On January 20, 2022 the Crenshaw County Sheriff ’s Office received information regarding a resident of Dozier, Ala. from the Loxley Police Department. The male subject has burglarized a local business, according to LPD, and requested help from the Sheriff ’s Office to apprehend the suspect.

Several deputies were dispatched to the subjects residence. Sheriff Terry Mears passed the suspect on the suspected vehicle and quickly initiated a traffic stop. (yugatech.com)

The suspect, identified as Quandarrius Phillips, was detained without incident.

Brantley Police Department responded to the scene to offer assistance.

Phillips was wanted in Luverne for a warrant through the Luverne Police Department and was arrested.

Phillips vehicle was searched resulting in vital information and evidence in connection with the burglary in Loxley.

A search warrant of Phillips residence was then executed where additional evidence was found.

Sheriff Mears is pleased with how the situation was handled and would like to thank Brantley Police for responding as well as the investigators and deputies in his office.
