According to Pitts, Huffman was actively throwing narcotics out the vehicles window during the pursuit.

Huffman pulled into a residence and fled the scene on foot.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office assisted with perimeter and the Kilby K-9 unit responded to assist in the search. However, the search which lasted for several hours, was called off due to declining weather conditions according to Pitts.

Warrants have been issued for Huffman.

Pitts confirmed that Huffman has spoken to him via phone and requested to be allowed to turn himself in after Christmas. Pitts denied the request. Huffman then told Pitts he would turn himself in.

As off press time, Huffman has not followed his word to turn himself in and remains at large.

Sheriff Terry Mears urges Mr. Huffman to do the right thing and turn himself in.

Sheriff Mears expresses his gratitude to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Kilby K-9 units for their assistance in the search efforts.
