Jean Holmes Odum, 63, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away suddenly at Crenshaw Community Hospital on Thursday, November 25, 2021.

Mrs. Odum spent her life taking care of her family and making her house a loving home. She was a strong-willed, determined woman, which were traits that served well in life.

She loved taking care of animals, as well as fishing. She adored flowers and took great pride in her gardening.

She also enjoyed cooking up delicious homemade dishes. She was dearly loved by her family, and she will be sorely missed by all those she has left behind.

Mrs. Odum was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Ray & Claudia Belle Surles Holmes, and her brother, Donnie Ray Holmes. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, James R. Odum; sister, Janice Holmes Adkison; and nephews, Joey Powell and Stephen Odum.
