Hello from Rutledge Alabama.

Well, there is a lot to talk about this week. Some good, some not so good.

One thing is there is a Thanksgiving Festival at Crenshaw Community Church on the Rutledge Loop on November 20, beginning at 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. Everyone come out and have a great time. Also the Rutledge Methodist Church is conducting a food drive. So please, if you can donate it is going to a good cause.

First news about the store, it has, as you know, officially changed hands and is now owned by Christopher and Caitlin Hilburn. I would say that nothing is really going to change but that would not be true. We now carry cattle, horse, chicken, dog and yes, Donald, we even have rabbit feed.

I say that about Donald because he was kind enough to do a commercial for our Facebook page, Luverne hardware, LLC.

We also have magic corn and deer blocks along with rice bran and triple threat for deer. We are supposed to be fully stocked by the end of November and are looking forward to serving our community once again. We will have a grand reopening. I will let you know the date.

And just to keep it fresh in everyone’s mind it has been approximately 3854 days since Mr. Delange Harris was murdered in May 2011 and 1984 since Mr. Earl Cosby was murdered on 13 June 2016 and of course still no justice for the families of these victims. The Odds are there is a murderer walking among us.
