The Emerald Wave Marching Band competed in their second competition of the season on October 16.

The band traveled to Opp to compete in the Little Big Horn Competition. 11 other 1A bands competed against Brantley in the event.

The Emerald Wave rode out on a high, receiving superior ratings in band, percussion, and drum major.

Auburn Morrell also earned Best in Class 1A drum major out of the 12 bands performing. This was a very special win for the BHS Senior.

Brantley Band Director Kylie Blackstock was also awarded the Director’s Award at the competition. The Director’s Award is given to one director out of all the performing bands, which was 27 this year. It is awarded based on past support for the Little Big Horn competition as well as past performance ratings of the band.
