Bulldogs shutout the Panthers

The Brantley Bulldogs shut out the Georgiana Panthers at home during Friday’s conference game with a final score of 46-0.

Brantley kicked off to Georgiana to start their drive on their 30-yard line. Georgiana could not run the ball for a first down and had to punt away.

After the punt, Brantley started their opening drive on Georgiana’s 43-yard line.

Brantley made the first score of the game after a four-yard run by Kendrick Brown.

After Daquan Pittman caught an eight-yard pass from Jayden Parks with four minutes to go in the first quarter, Brantley scored again.

Georgiana was then in control of the ball on their 33-yard line. The Panthers attempted to run the ball downfield, but a fumble recovery by Robert Shine led to Brantley’s third touchdown of the night.

At the end of the first quarter, Brantley led the Panthers 21-0.

Another fumble recovery during the start of the second quarter gave Brantley the ball at the Georgiana 43-yard line.

Following the fumble, Shine ran 17-yards to score another touchdown for Brantley. Jon Bush kicked for the extra point, but it was no good.

Shortly after, Brantley scored again after Morell Edwards caught a 62-yard pass from Jayden Parks. Jon Bush kicked for the extra point, but it was no good.

Five minutes to go in the first quarter, Brantley made their sixth touchdown of the night after Kendrick Brown ran for a one-yard rushing touchdown. Bush’s extra point kick was good.

Brantley scored one last touchdown before halftime with less than a minute remaining after Jon Bush caught a one-yard touchdown pass from Jayden Parks.

By halftime, Brantley was leading the Panthers 46-0.

No score occurred in the second half.

With the win, Brantley improves their record to 6-0.

The Bulldogs finished the game with 212 total yards with 161 passing and 51 rushing.

Brantley will go on the road to face off against Red Level in a conference game this Friday.
