According to information released by ALEA, a two-vehicle crash occurred this morning at approximately 5:40 a.m. Daniel Honoria Garcia Ramirez, 33, and Lucia Santis Diaz, 27, both of Montgomery, were fatally injured when the 2003 Toyota Camry driven by Ramirez collided with a 2019 Kia Optima driven by Michael Calixto, 38, of Georgiana.

Both Ramirez and Diaz were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred near mile marker 64 on Highway 331, approximately eight miles north of Luverne city limits.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are actively investigating the crash. No other details are available at this time.
